Worship is at the heart of our life together at Douglass Boulevard Christian Church. We have several opportunities for worship on a weekly basis, as well as special services throughout the year.
WORSHIP FOR ALL
A traditional worship service begins at 10:50 a.m. every Sunday morning. We also hold special worship services during the Lenten and Christmas seasons; check our monthly calendar for information. All services include sermons by the minister and communion. Douglass Boulevard Christian Church also joins with other local churches for community-wide worship services during other special occasions such as World Communion Sunday.
Excellent child care is provided at all of our worship services.
CHILDREN’S WORSHIP AND WONDER
After the Time for Young Disciples at the 10:50 a.m. worship service, all children ages three through the third grade are invited to experience Children’s Worship and Wonder. The children are welcomed into their own worship space where they not only share a worship experience but also hear a Bible story which they are invited to explore through hands-on learning. Children’s Worship and Wonder is led by Amy Elam-Krizan, Mary Nash, Christine Price and Joe Price, all of whom are specially trained in this teaching ministry.
CHANCEL CHOIR
The Chancel Choir for adults and high school youth assists in worship as well as provides pleasure and fellowship for those who like to sing and create music. The Chancel Choir is under the direction of Interim Music Director Stephanie Mattingly and rehearses each Wednesday evening at 7:30 pm. We are always eager to welcome new voices! If you ware interested in participating in the Choir, please call the church (502-452-2629) or attend a rehearsal on Wednesday.
