On Earth Stewardship Sunday, the congregation exited the Robsion Family Center at the conclusion of our worship service and went to the north side of Briney Hall for a dedication of our new Prayer Garden and Labyrinth. The idea for the Prayer Garden and Labyrinth emerged from the Worship Team. Under the guidance of Jennifer Harris, plans for the design of both the garden and the labyrinth went from creative imagination to actual reality. It continues to be a work in progress.
Because prayer was such an important aspect of the life of Ida Crosby Hatton, who died last Tuesday, it was only fitting to name the Prayer Garden and Labyrinth in honor of her memory. You may make a donation to the Ida Crosby Hatton Prayer Garden and Labyrinth in memory of “Ms. Ida” or you may help purchase items that will be needed to complete the plans. All gifts given in memory of Ida Hatton will be used to support the ongoing maintenance and upkeep of the Prayer Garden and Labyrinth.
In addition, you may make a gift in honor of or in memory of a special person. A plaque commemorating your gift will be attached to the bench or artwork. A plaque with donors’ names will be posted at the entryway to the Prayer Garden and Labyrith.
